Founder | Visionary | Entrepreneur | Mentor
The quotes is what Hennie Schreuder lives by—they are the foundation of how he approaches life, business, and his mission to help others transform. Grounded in action, ownership, and purpose, these principles have shaped every chapter of his journey.
“Nothing in life comes by chance. If you want something, get up, show up, and make it happen—your future is built, not found.”
“Success doesn’t come to those who wait—it comes to those who work. Vision without action is just a dream.”
Living Life, the Eagle Way
Hennie Schreuder is a seasoned entrepreneur and visionary leader who has built a life and career rooted in resilience, discipline, and purpose. From humble beginnings, Hennie learned early on that success doesn’t come by chance—it’s earned through hard work, unwavering focus, and a commitment to action. He lives by a simple but powerful belief: you don’t wait for life to happen—you make it happen.
At the age of 18, Hennie launched his first business and never looked back. Over the decades, he has successfully built and led companies across the construction, restaurant, and hospitality industries. Twice honoured as Old Mutual Businessman of the Year, Hennie’s journey has always been driven more by passion than prestige. His ability to turn vision into action has made him a respected name in business circles.
Embodying what he calls the “eagle mindset,” Hennie believes in rising above the storm, seeing challenges as opportunities, and maintaining sharp, solution-focused thinking. Like the eagle, he would rather face challenges alone than be surrounded by negativity or a problem-first mentality. He values clarity, courage, and the ability to act—especially when others hesitate.
After turning 50, Hennie found new purpose in guiding and mentoring others. He has played a key role in revitalizing struggling businesses and spent more than 20 years training and advising safari lodges and hospitality ventures throughout Southern Africa, from Tanzania to South Africa. His greatest reward has been helping others discover their potential and succeed.
Outside of business, Hennie lives life with the same energy, discipline, and drive that have shaped his entrepreneurial journey. A passionate and accomplished sportsman, he has represented his province in rugby and competed in modern pentathlon, basketball, golf, and a range of endurance events—including the Comrades Marathon, Two Oceans Marathon, Cape Argus and 94.7 cycle races, swimming the Midmar Mile, and participation in multiple Dusi Canoe Marathon’s.
Beyond the competitive arena, Hennie finds deep peace and fulfilment in the stillness of nature. Solitude in the bush or the mountains is where he reconnects with himself and recharges his spirit. Whether walking through quiet wilderness, sitting around a fire, or simply soaking in the vastness of open landscapes, he believes nature offers perspective, clarity, and a reminder of what truly matters. These moments—especially when shared with loved ones—are some of the most meaningful in his life.
A passionate cook, Hennie has completed various culinary courses locally and abroad. Whether in a kitchen or around a bushfire, he finds joy in creating and sharing good food—another way he expresses creativity, connection, and care.
One of the most meaningful chapters of Hennie’s life has been founding Eagles View Wellness Centre. Created as a place of hope and second chances, the centre reflects Hennie’s lifelong values: strength, discipline, compassion, and transformation. He takes great pride in surrounding himself with a team of highly skilled, experienced professionals—each an expert in their field within the rehabilitation space. Every team member brings a unique set of strengths, and together, they form a dynamic, integrated unit where each person’s contribution complements the next.
For Hennie, the power of Eagles View lies not only in the programme but in the people behind it—a team united by purpose and driven by the desire to truly make a difference. Together, they help clients rise above life’s storms and step into their fullest potential.
Today, Hennie continues to live with intention and purpose. His journey is a testament to the power of belief, the discipline of action, and the reward of helping others take flight—just like the eagle.
